Erbarme dich – St Matthew Passion
Last year I photographed the Good Friday parades in Ibiza. Torchlight and shadows flickered across the walls as the procession made it’s way through the medieval streets. The sombre, strangely silent & deeply moving commemoration of the Passion is performed each year in Ibiza old town.
These images have languished until reminded by the date, and to my shame, I still have several rolls of unprocessed film.
